I’ve known Angela forever. We went to High School together, and her sister is one of my best friends. Josh photographed their engagement, and we are shooting their wedding in November, so we had to do anengagement session of course! I talked about this a little bit on Facebook, but…I saw that the set from the town of Spectre in “Big Fish” (one of my favorite movies, ever!) was not only in Alabama, but it was less than 2 hours away! Josh and I had been talking about going for awhile…then I realized..how amazing would it be to do a portrait session there? Who better than PJ and Angela? I pitched the idea and of course they were in for an adventure. We rode together there and back and had such a good time talking (I don’t think Angela and I shut up the whole time!) and shared our mutual awkwardness together. They were adorable talking about their story and how they met, and that Angela made fun of PJ for studying instead of hanging out, and he was pretty mad at her about it for awhile, but I guess he eventually got over it. They are the cutest couple. These pictures make me SO happy because you can see the love they have! They told me over and over they were not comfortable in front of the camera, and they felt awkard, but then we drove 2 hours, so they put all they had into it. Also, as a reminder to all who shoot photos in the summer close to a lake…BRING BUG SPRAY. I am not sure why I didn’t remember it, but it was a bad idea. PJ got eaten alive and did not complain once. I had to photoshop HUGE bites off his face. They braved some mosquito infested areas just to get pictures. We would drive to a location, jump out, assume positions, shoot, and run back to the car (we probably did this 5 times) but oooooh these are so worth it. Here are the photos!
