Ya’ll. I don’t even know what to say. This shoot was just amazing! Getting to shoot in fun spots and step outside of my comfort zone for this shoot. I got to edit differently than the norm, and these two were just game to do whatever! I am so excited to shoot their wedding next year with my husband. Super super excited!! Narrowing it down to include my favorites was so hard!! But here are a few: Birmingham AL photographer Lane Weichman
I have been nonstop shooting the same thing for a few years now – which I LOVE. I have such a passion for being able to hold a brand new baby in my arms, super fresh, perfect little newborns, pose them and create images for their parents that they can gush over, show off their new babies, and never forget the little details of those first couple of weeks of their new baby’s life. I never want to lose sight of the fact that it’s a new life, a God-given gift, a baby that God chose for his/her parents. I love designing cake smash sets, watching babies pass their 1 year milestone, dig into their first bite of cake, and watch their parents gush over how absolutely adorable they are (which is so true! I crack up almost every cake smash session I do!) And don’t even get me start on birth sessions or Fresh 48’s – ahhh! I literally get an adrenaline rush on my way home, rush home and run to the computer to upload my pictures so I can re-live every little detail! But I have this desire to shoot for ME. To get creative, to 100% make every decision of a shoot, to style it completely, to pick the backdrop, the way I edit, to do something different than I normally would. Everyone I know with that creative gene needs this outlet so they don’t get burnt out – I guess I’m writing this to remind myself how much I LOVE …
I LOVE Carter’s session – the browns and blues just flow together so well – and his parents are absolutely smitten with him, you can so tell by their photos with him. He has the cutest lips and chunky little arms too! It was hard to pick just a couple favorites from this session – but I tried to narrow it down! Here they are: Hope you enjoyed these!! -Lane Weichman www.facebook.com/laneweichmanphotography Springville AL photographer
Elisa is SO cute and was SO good! I had a hard week and was a little nervous about the session – but she was SUCH a great baby and made it super easy and fun! Plus, she’s absolutely beautiful and that helps, right?! Here’s a few of her photos from the session! Lane Weichman Photography Birmingham AL newborn session Pricing – www.laneweichmanphotography.com
So, for those of you who are my super close friends – you know – I have this history of all my best friend’s babies being awful for their newborn sessions – either they’re awake the ENTIRE time or they’re fussy and refuse to let me pose them – so I kind of expected that with Cora’s session. HOWEVER….this was not the case. This sweet girl was amazing. She didn’t make a peep until the last set up! She was an absolute dream baby and I couldn’t be happier! We got so many adorable shots of her!
Audrey and her big sis Mary Evelyn are just the CUTEST!! I adore the neutral tones and light colors in this session – these two gorgeous girls and their love, this is one of my favorite sessions I’ve done in awhile! <3 Lane www.laneweichmanphotography.com Springville AL photographer
Clara is seriously such a gorgeous baby – she has grown so much over the last 6 months! Check out her newborn session here: Clara’s Newborn Session. I just love all the set ups from her session – they’re totally my style and love when mama’s let me use get creative with their session and style it! Newborn photography Birmingham AL WWW.laneweichmanphotography.com Troy gave me a run for my money – but I just LOVE the photos we got!! He’s absolutely adorable and shooting his session and hanging out with his family was fun! Here are a few highlights from his session! -Lane Weichman – Newborn Photographer located outside of Birmingham, AL. I love photographing such important times in a families life – whether it be maternity sessions, newborn photography, documenting the first year with my “Grow With Me” baby photography plan, or photographing families as they grow – contact me today to book your session – use the contact page located on my website.
Usually, when I get a 10+ lb baby, they don’t sleep very heavily and don’t love me. Henry did love me, and was so adorable! I loved getting to hang out with him and take his pictures. He has the cutest little face and dark hair and gorgeous features – someone once told me that they didn’t have newborn photos done because they all look the same as newborns – this couldn’t be more untrue! Each baby is so distinct, and also, each baby poses differently and each session flows around the baby! So I do not believe that statement at all. Here are some images from his session – so hard to just choose a few for the blog! www.facebook.com/laneweichmanphotography Birmingham AL newborn photography
I did Cristen’s newborn session today, so I figured it was a great time to blog her maternity session!! ūüėČ This is such a sweet and beautiful mom and I had to share! Maternity photos Birmingham AL Lane Weichman Photography
Chaney’s parents came in telling her that their baby was a very active and awake baby – as a newborn photographer who focuses on sleepy baby shots, I was slightly stressed out…ha! This happens every time, but I end up LOVING shots when a baby won’t sleep! Yes, we may struggle through the session, but it forces me to try new things, and go with the flow of the baby (which I do to an extent with every baby, just even more so with non sleepers!) I just adore these shots so much and she’s such a doll!! -Lane www.laneweichmanphotography.com Birmingham AL newborn photographer
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family a lot – at least 8 times, I believe.¬†I’ve gotten to photograph quite a few milestone/important times in their lives (check out Cooper’s newborn session here.) Stacey asked me to do a lifestyle session – I don’t do these often, so of course, I was a little bit nervous, but I’m actually really proud of these and very happy with how they turned out, maybe, just maybe, I’ll start offering these sessions. ūüôā It was very laid back and easy and fun. I really enjoyed being able to come into their home…Colton was so excited to show me his toys and his big boy bed he just got, and ran around like a crazy man, while Cooper was just as content as can be the entire time. I love these sweet intimate shots, unposed and light and airy. I converted over to studio light a year ago and I hardly ever get to shoot natural light anymore – I need to make a point to, because there’s nothing like it! Of course posed newborns are my favorites, but there is something special about being able to capture the real life – it really tells a story and documents life a little more accurately I think. ūüôā ——– ‚ÄúThe hand of a bride becomes the hand of a mother. Sweet Brenlei was due to come in March, and I got a message that she was going to arrive early – she did, and got to come home before she was two weeks old, so we photographed her at 13 days.. and this little tiny bean was SO great! She slept like a dream the entire time and is just the cutest. Luckily, I get to see her 3 more times this year! WOO! Can’t wait. Here’s a few of her photos from the session: -Lane Weichman www.laneweichmanphotography.com springville al newborn photos
Samuel was an absolute DREAM BABY!! He slept the entire time. I just love the colors and tones of his photos. He just did all the poses perfectly! Here’s a few favorites from his session: Lane Weichman www.laneweichmanphotography.com Springville Newborn Photographer
I have now photographed this sweet girl three times over the span of her first year! She is seriously just SO gorgeous and loved getting the opportunity to take her pics. She was full on walking everywhere during her shoot so corralling her was quite the challenge! Once she got into the cake she was content, though!! Love my clients.  Lane Weichman www.laneweichmanphotography.com Springville Al cake smash photography
This sweet girl decided she did not want to sleep at her session! Thank goodness she’s absolutely beautiful because we got a ton of awake shots! She did sleep for about 15 minutes, though! ūüėČ Lane Weichman www.laneweichmanphotography.com Springville AL newborn photography
Birmingham AL newborn triplet photos – Lane Weichman Photography I haven’t done a lot of shooting for myself lately, besides taking monthly photos of our youngest daughter. This is something that a lot of artists and other photographers just NEED to do! When a friend of mine posted that her sister had triplets, I immediately thought, “I MUST PHOTOGRAPH THEM!” So, I presented the idea to my amazing photographer friend Lindsey Walker (view her awesome website here!) who I always do multiples with. She assists me and I assist her whenever we get multiple newborns (and I’m sad because she’s moving and we won’t be able to shoot together anymore! ūüôĀ but that’s another blog post I guess..haha) Of course she said YES, so we both got to throw out ideas with each other and pull our resources (ahem..props) together to make it all work! I knew it would be a fun thing for us both to have for our portfolios, so here they are! The boys were an absolute DREAM! They all slept the entire time, and let us pose them and were just SO sweet….I might have wanted to keep them all! They were all around 6 pounds and were just the absolute sweetest. The three of them slept more soundly than most normal newborns sleep, which was just an awesome experience to have for my first set of triplets, for sure. Now I absolutely cannot decide which ones to get printed for my new studio that I’m moving into next month. So, …
Hello, 2016! This year has already started out crazy and I’ve been so busy shooting, editing and even booking lots of sessions! I have really not been updating the blog since October, so now that I made it through the holidays, I’m ready to get back on track blogging all of my full sessions. I’ve been able to photograph this sweet family multiple times and it’s just awesome! They just welcomed their 2nd baby boy into the world and I got to do his newborn photos. He was an absolute dream baby and we had so much fun doing all his photos! Here are a few of my favorites: Newborn Photographer Birmingham AL Lane Weichman www.laneweichmanphotography.com
Favorite Photos of 2015 – Every year, I try to do a big collage of one photo from each of my sessions. This year I have had more sessions than I’ve ever had before, so I tried to narrow it down to my favorite client photos of this year. I have different reasons for all of them being my favorites…most of them are newborns, they are generally my favorite subjects to photography…so I thought I’d share them! In no particular order, here are just SOME of my favorite photos from 2015! This was such an awesome smile to catch from a newborn…I just LOVE this photo!! I chose this picture for a couple of reasons. This was my first set of twins, and I was super happy to nail this pose (with the help of my friend Lindsey @ Lindsey Walker Photography, of course!) so it was also a technical/personal reason I loved it. The colors and the sunlight in this picture are just perfect. Angela (the subject!) always says she isn’t photogenic but manages to be the most gorgeous subject in all the photos I’ve taken (and it’s been a lot!) and it seems to come so naturally. This is one of those moments that you just happen to be in the right place at the right time. I adore this, so so much and the mom is absolutely beautiful! This picture was something I was really envisioning for a long time before the shoot. We talked about a neutral colored maternity gown, and …
So excited to share Marshall’s session with you guys!! I am so excited he did so great for his session and we got a nice gallery of pics! He’s just the cutest – and I can’t wait to see him again for his 6 month photos!!
I’ve now photographed all of Henry’s biggest milestones – while his mom was still pregnant, his birth, newborn photos, at four, eight, and now 12 months. I get very sentimental when my baby plan babies turn a year – I am not even that much of a sentimental person, but knowing that they’ve reached that milestone and I don’t get to see them every few months anymore is so hard for me! Lots of people do 18 months or photos every year, but it’s not the same!! Well Henry is no exception. I have loved watching him grow and watching his little personality bloom! His nursery is pooh themed and his dad painted this awesome mural in there, so I figured I would ask if he wanted to paint one for the cake smash. It turned out so great! It was seriously just the most perfect day to take photos, the sunset couldn’t have been more gorgeous, it’s the perfect time of the year, and everything just turned out great. I feel awesome knowing that his last session will be hard to beat! ūüėČ I’m oversharing but here are some photos from his session: Here’s a little comparison picture we did….. Had to share Macgregor’s session…he is the most adorable little face!! I love the blues and greys from his session and so enjoyed it! Here are a few of my favorites:
Abby is just the happiest baby, ever!! Lately I have been doing studio and outdoor sessions – I’m blessed to have some wonderful locations nearby to shoot photos, so we are able to do family pictures outdoors. I just wanted to share this session because she’s so adorable and I had so much fun shooting this family! Happy Birthday, sweet girl!!
I just had to blog my friend Abbey’s session!! We got to visit the beautiful Pennsylvania early October and Abbey had just found out she was pregnant and was going to announce it at 12 weeks – but we were visiting when she was going to be 13 weeks!! Soooo, I begged her to let me photograph her announcement!! We were planning to meet and take family photos anyway, so we just made it work! Quinn – her not even 1.5 year old was NOT feeling it. I had to pull out all my tricks to make her laugh (I’m sure Abbey’s husband Ryan who had just met me thought I was insane!) and we got a few smiles but she was the wiggliest toddler (well, they all are aren’t they!) I am so happy we took these photos, and we don’t get these colors in AL so I was super excited. Also, have I mentioned that Abbey is a wonderful photographer in Erie, PA too? (www.abbeylynnphotography.com) She mentored with me last year and we’ve been inseparable ever since, even if we’ve only officially met twice! I’m going everywhere with this blog post sooo, let me just get to the pictures! She was kind enough to take some awesome pics of my family and Josh and I…and I had to include a pic of us together, too! -Lane family pregnancy announcement photography birmingham al www.laneweichmanphotography.com
